Frequently asked questions

How do I work out which garage remote I need?

Open the back of your current remote and look for a model code such as PTX-5, C945 or ZT-07. If the remote is lost, check the sticker on the motor unit in the garage for the brand and model of the opener, then match it against the product listing. Email support@officecatch.com.au with a photo if you are unsure.

Will a compatible remote work with a rolling code opener?

Yes, provided you buy the remote listed for your opener type. Merlin Security+ 2.0, ATA TrioCode and B&D rolling code systems each use a specific compatible remote, which you pair through the learn button on the motor. Universal 433.92MHz cloning remotes only suit older fixed-code openers, so check the listing before ordering.

What if the remote does not pair with my opener?

Check the battery is fresh and follow the pairing steps in the listing, because the learn button location varies by brand. If it still will not pair, you can return it for a change-of-mind refund, processed within 3 working days of arrival. Contact support@officecatch.com.au and we will help you confirm the right model.
